Tim is a director at BPEA. He is responsible for investor relations, marketing, and business development activities across the firm.
Before joining BPEA in 2025, Tim was Director of Investor Relations at Balerion Space Ventures, where he was responsible for building and executing on a national distribution strategy for the firm’s third venture capital fund. Prior to that, Tim was a managing director and Head of Distribution at Sapience Investments. He also spent time as a managing director at RBC Global Asset Management, where he was responsible for building and deepening relationships in the northeast US. Earlier in his career, Tim spent 15 years at Wellington Management Company, LLP as a managing director, where he built and managed dedicated client service teams.
Tim received a BS in finance from State University of New York, Brockport and an MBA from the University of San Diego.

Lynsey is a manager at BPEA and is responsible for all investor relations activities. She also manages the tax process for the firm’s entities and provides support for foreign compliance, accounting, and finance activities.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2010, Lynsey was a project manager and executive assistant for the Denali Group based in Northern California. At the Denali Group, she had a number of responsibilities supporting the organization’s various lines of business, which included consulting, staffing, and professional outsourcing. Lynsey also spent five years as a personal assistant based in Philadelphia.
Lynsey received a BS in business and economics from Lehigh University.

Matt is a vice president at BPEA. He is responsible for driving multiple initiatives related to BPEA’s healthcare funds, their Taft-Hartley investors and advisors, and investment companies.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2024, Matt was a Regional Vice President for Labor & Trust at Included Health, where he was responsible for growth of the organization’s Taft-Hartley clients. Prior to Included Health, he was a senior consultant and credentialed actuary at Foster & Foster, where he provided dedicated benefit strategies, financial projections, and vendor evaluations for clients in both the Taft-Hartley and public sector spaces. Matt began his career at Towers Perrin, where he worked as an analyst in the pension and Other Post-Employment Benefits groups.
Matt received a B.B.A. in actuarial science from Georgia State University and was previously an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Steve is a partner and CFO at BPEA.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2016, Steve was Vice President/Controller of Benefit Street Partners (BSP), where he was responsible for the finance and operations activities. Prior to his work at BSP, he was the controller for Summit Partners, where he oversaw the financial reporting and valuation aspects of all of Summit’s funds. Steve began his career with Ernst & Young as an auditor specializing in the financial services industry.
Steve received a BA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Laurie is CCO and VP of Finance at BPEA. She is responsible for all aspects of BPEA’s compliance program as well as the oversight of the firm’s cash activities and investor reporting.
Laurie has been with BPEA since the Firm’s inception in 2002. Prior to becoming VP of Finance, Laurie was a senior accountant at BPEA and was responsible for the preparation and distribution of quarterly fund financials, all daily cash transactions, and accounts payable. Laurie began her career in the venture capital/private equity industry while working toward her undergraduate degree as an assistant to the principals and the CFO of Boston Capital Ventures, a venture capital firm. During that time, Laurie assisted with the formation of BPEA. At the inception of BPEA, she was responsible for the administration and daily operations of the firm.
Laurie received a BS in business administration with a concentration in finance and an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

Nathan is a manager at BPEA. He monitors BPEA’s fund investments, supports accounting and finance activities, and prepares investor reporting.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2008, Nathan worked at State Street Corporation, a global industry leader in providing financial services to institutional investors, where he was responsible for managing the development of staff and operations within the international equity sector.
Nathan received a BS in kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire.

Raphael is a financial analyst at BPEA. He monitors BPEA’s fund investments, supports accounting and finance activities, and prepares investor reporting.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2025, Raphael worked at Dynamo Software as a fund controller, where he was responsible for managing the accounting and reporting of private equity funds for multiple clients. Prior to Dynamo Software, Raphael was an auditor at PwC for three years.
Raphael received an MS in Accounting and MBA from Northeastern University.

Katie is a finance assistant at BPEA. She supports the back office with finance, tax, and other operational activities.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2017, Katie was a leasing consultant for The Dolben Company, Inc., a property management company in the Boston area. In this role, her primary responsibilities were customer service, leasing and managing multifamily apartment homes, as well as various administrative duties.
Katie received a BA in psychology and sociology from Flagler College.

Olivia is the office manager at BPEA. She manages the office operations and provides administrative support to team members and senior management.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2025, Olivia worked as the office coordinator for Bitsight’s Boston office, managing daily operations and facility concerns while providing local support to employees and visitors. She began her career as an executive assistant in John Hancock / Manulife’s Bond & Corporate Finance group, providing administrative support to a team of investment professionals.
Olivia received a BA in English, with honors, and in communication from Boston College.
