Josh is a Vice President at BPEA. With a focus on healthcare, he sources, conducts due diligence on, analyzes, and manages BPEA’s direct investments while contributing to overall strategy and portfolio development.
Prior to joining BPEA in 2021, Josh was a Project Leader with Boston Consulting Group, where he specialized in helping private equity firms and strategic investors assess healthcare assets. As an M.D., Josh has experience as a Resident Physician in Ophthalmology. During graduate school, he also started a company developing a “liquid biopsy” for glioblastoma, securing competitive funding from the National Institutes of Health.
Josh received a BA with honors in both economics and biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MBA from The Wharton School, where he dual-majored in health care management and finance. He has published and presented first-author research at multiple international conferences. Josh maintains an active medical license.
